We’re back!  My Vacation Lady was one of the lucky travel professionals to be on the very first travel agent 2 night pre-inaugural sailing from Nov 12-14.  All we can say is WOW.  Two days is certainly not enough and we are ready to go back to experience a full cruise.

bracelet- room keyFrom the minute you board the ship, you realize that this is a very high tech ship.  During your online check in, you can upload a photo for your Sea Pass card.  If not, they’ll take one during check in.  You don’t get keys to your cabin but rather, head to your cabin and there will be a key waiting for you on the door.  Once you get inside, you’ll find a folder with 2 rubber bracelets which can serve as your room key and if you want to charge anything to your cabin.

This ship is full of very neat features and we have some pictures that we took while onboard.

We went up in the Northstar which is a pod that holds 14 guests on a 15 minute ride 300 feet up and gives you 360 degree views.

After that, you can go in the bumper cars, flow rider (surfing) or rock climbing.

For some evening entertainment, we saw the production of Mama Mia and it was great.  We watched their show StarWater in their 270 nightclub and a comedian as well.

bionic bartendersOne of the newest attractions was the Bionic Bar with robotic bartenders.  They were a bit slow and had some mechanical glitches but it drew a huge crowd!

We’ll be posting many more pictures so check back.  To book your cabin on the Quantum of the Seas before it leaves for China in May or to book your cabin on her sister ship– the Anthem of the Seas, contact My Vacation Lady.
