I’d like to give you just one example of how My Vacation Lady goes to bat for clients even after they return home.

Mr. W and his friends sailed on a cruise in early July.  Upon his return, he let me know that he was injured on a ship sponsored shore excursion and went to the ship’s physician.  I asked him to send me information, pictures, etc so that I could send an email to the cruise line’s guest relations department.

I followed up for a long time with our sales manager and guest relations and was told that guest relations would work with the client directly so I stepped back.  When Mr. W called to let me know what the response was from guest relations and I wasn’t happy with their response.  Basically, they pushed off any claim for a refund of the tour to the shore excursion supplier.  I considered this to be ridiculous and told Mr. W that I would take it further.  I was going to be seeing the Vice President of Sales of the cruise line at a cruise function and I would take it up with her directly.

On Tuesday, upon my return from the cruise function, I emailed the VP of sales the info on Mr. W’s issue using her direct email address.  The next day, Wednesday, Mr. W received a phone call from the VP’s assistant offering a full refund of the tour for himself and his 3 friends.  That was all Mr. W was asking for.  He wasn’t asking for a full refund of the cruise or a free cruise.  He was asking for $304- the cost of the excursion for himself and his friends.

Mr. W also said that the VP’s assistant told him to NEVER stop booking through My Vacation Lady since I knew who to talk to for results!  She also mentioned that we should let her know when Mr. W books another cruise and she would take care of them.

Well, Mr. W called to book another cruise for next summer and she offered a nice on board credit.
