Last year alone, the airlines made billions in checked luggage fees. Every time you check a suitcase with most of the airlines, you’re paying $25 or more. If you’re taking 2 suitcases or, heaven forbid, go over the 50 lb. weight limit, now you’re stuck with more fees.

When it comes to packing for your vacation, think of what you actually need to pack and think of what you can buy while you’re on vacation. Of course, it depends on where you are going.
If you’re going to a remote destination, you’ll need to pack everything you think you’ll need since you likely won’t see a store around. If you’re traveling to Europe, Hawaii, a beach destination or even a cruise, they do have stores and shops where you can pick up some of the things you may not want to pack.
