Do you want to take a vacation but still don’t have a passport?
If you are looking for tropical places to vacation within the United States, Hawaii is the most exotic with each island having a distinct personality. California and Florida also are great beach vacation destinations with lots more to do other than just the beach but you may not consider either to be very exotic.
Other than staying within the 50 U.S. states, you can visit all United States territories without needing a passport.
Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix), Guam, American Samoa and the Northern Marianas are all U.S. Territories and might be great places to visit without a passport.
Guam and the Northern Marianas are in the Northern Pacific Ocean known as Oceania (northeast of Australia and east of the Phillipines). American Samoa is just west of the Tahitian Islands– so how much more exotic can you get?
If you think you can’t get to the South Pacific or someplace exotic without a passport, think American Territories. Click here to read more about these destinations.
