I know that I always carry a large and filled to the brim carry on bag. I’ve lost luggage so many times that I want a full change of clothing + all of the necessities that I’ll need during my vacation. I know, I may be crazy but that is the way I’ve been packing for years.
With some of the new rules that American, Delta and United have just implemented, My Vacation Lady is going to have to cut back a bit. The new maximum width of the carry on bag that you will be allowed is 14” ‘These new size limits are recent. In fact, United made the change on March 2, 2014. Its previous policy was that no dimension could be over 22 inches and the total overall dimensions no more than 45 inches.”
The goal for the airlines- make travelers pay for more checked luggage, speeding up the boarding process and making more room for all passengers for small carry on bags.
Is this a game changer for many travelers? We bet it will be. Read the full article here http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/columnist/hobica/2014/06/10/carry-on-luggage-bag-size-limits/10246511/
