If you are traveling to Europe soon, please read this:

When My Vacation Lady sends a lot of  clients away on international vacation or honeymoons and in light of the recent events in Brussels, we felt that it was the right time to review the State Department’s STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program).

Every so often, there may be a travel alert or warning or a natural disaster or emergency that can impact your travel plans.  The U. S. State department offers a Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to help you stay on top of the latest news in the country that you might be traveling to.  You only need to sign up one time and you can add and delete trips from your account when you plan new vacations abroad.

What are the Benefits of Enrolling in STEP?

  • Receive important information from the Embassy about safety conditions in your destination country, helping you make informed decisions about your travel plans.
  • Help the U.S. Embassy contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency.
  • Help family and friends get in touch with you in an emergency.

While no travel professional or even the U.S. government can ever predict what may take place in the world, signing up for the STEP program is certainly is something to consider when you are traveling to Europe, Asia, Africa and South or Central America.

My Vacation Lady is dedicated to providing our clients the best vacation or honeymoon experience possible.
