My Vacation Lady has sent a good number of clients to Ireland this year and we have more coming up in the fall as well.
Ireland might not be the first place you think of when you think of visiting Europe. France, Italy and Greece are all very romantic and very popular but there are some great reasons to plan a vacation or honeymoon to Ireland.
First of all, Ireland is actually pretty reasonably priced compared to the very popular vacation and honeymoon destinations in Europe. If you have some time to travel to Ireland in October, you can (currently) buy a nonstop flight from JFK to Dublin for less than $600 each round trip. That is about 1/2 the cost of a nonstop round trip flight to Rome and Paris for the same dates.
In addition to some favorable pricing, this is an ideal country to drive around and explore on your own (if you are comfortable driving on the “wrong” side of the road). It’s a beautiful county and within a few miles, you can travel from rugged coastline of the Ring of Kerry or the Cliffs of Moher to pastures to mountains to cosmopolitan cities.
- Ring of Kerry
- The Dingle Peninsula
- Cliffs of Moher
- The Burren
- Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone
- Giant’s Causeway
- The Aran Islands
- Killarney National Park
- The Guinness Store House or the Jameson Distillery in Dublin
Our clients have seen many of these and even more including hiking the Gap of Dunloe, trying Falconry, feasting at a Medieval Dinner at Bunratty Castle.
Whether you want to explore on your own or be part of a group or have your own private driver, Ireland may be a destination to consider!
My Vacation Lady can help you plan your next vacation or honeymoon to Ireland and we’re confident that you’ll come back as happy as our past clients have.
