Europe’s new ETIAS travel authorization program is set to go live in 2024
This is NOT a visa but you still have to register and pay a fee (7 euros) to enter the 23 member countries of Europe’s Schengen Zone + 4 non EU countries and 3 European micro-states
Who will need to apply this ETIAS authorization?
Americans and travelers from 60 other countries will be required to apply for an ETIAS visa waiver to enter the countries listed above. Those between the ages of 18 and 70 will be charged a non refundable fee of 7 euros. For those under 18 or over 70 will still need to fill out the application but won’t be charged a fee.
The forms are available online, should take about 10 minutes to fill out but you will need-
- a valid passport
- email address
- debit card or credit card
