Mindy Gilbert, founder of My Vacation Lady

Mindy started in the travel industry in 1994 after planning a family vacation to Arizona and Nevada.

When our kids were younger, and we had some frequent flier miles to use, I started planning a family vacation to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.  After pouring through pages and pages of books and making lots of phone calls (yes, this was before the internet), the vacation was a great success and I found that I enjoyed planning out our vacation.  The travel planning bug got to me and I started working with a local travel agency.  I took courses at the local college and went to training classes to learn everything I could.  I started out planning group cruises for our friends and family and my business grew steadily.  I still have clients who have been with me since the beginning and I’m now planning vacations and honeymoons for their children!
