By now, you might have seen what you can get for your honeymoon for a  budget of $5000, $7500 and $10,000, in the last few weeks.  Now, we’ll cover what you can get for $15,000 for your honeymoon in 2017.

$15,000 is a lot of money but for some of My Vacation Lady’s honeymoon clients, that is a budget that they have to spend on their once in a lifetime honeymoon experience.

So what can you get for $15,000 in 2017 for your dream honeymoon?

A lot of what you can get for your budget will depend on when you are traveling, when you booked your honeymoon and what type of experiences you are including.  These are some samples of what you can get in the neighborhood of $15,000.

Thailand:

Thailand is not usually known to be a super expensive honeymoon destination but when you upgrade your airline seats to premium economy seats with extra legroom, the price does tend to get more expensive.

In February, Kiki and Nick spent their honeymoon in 5 star resorts in Chiang Mai, Phuket and Koh Samui for a total of 11 nights.   They enjoyed a river rafting and elephant excursion and explored the local river life in an excursion in Chiang Mai.  Then they spent 4 nights in a pool villa at a 5 star resort in Phuket and took 2 excursions.  From Phuket, they flew to Koh Samui where they spent their last 4 nights in another pool villa at a 5 star resorts.  They took a sea kayaking excursion.  With all private transfers, flights, hotels and travel insurance, their honeymoon package was in the $14,500 range.

Hawaii:

In May, Arielle and Ryan are honeymooning in Hawaii.  They upgraded to first class seats on the flights from Newark to Honolulu.  They are spending 6 nights in a ocean view suite with complimentary breakfast daily in a 5 star resort in Maui and will be going to a luau.  After flying to Kauai, they’ll spend 5 nights in a deluxe ocean view room at a 5 star resort in Poipu with breakfast daily and will be taking a snorkel tour to the Napali Coast.  With cars, inter-island airfare and travel insurance, their honeymoon came to about $13,500.

Fiji:

Kerri and Tony are heading to Fiji in May.  They are spending 6 nights in a room with private pool at a 5 star beachfront resort in Vitu Levu  with breakfast daily and private transfers from the Nadi airport.   Next, they are spending 5 nights in a honeymoon bure (we requested one with a private pool) at a luxury all inclusive resort in Savusavu.  With airfare from NYC to Fiji, inter-island flights, transfers and travel insurance, their honeymoon came to about $13,500.

Steve and Megan are honeymooning in Fiji in August.  They’ll be spending 6 nights in a concierge level 1 bedroom suite with private plunge pool at a 5 star beach resort in Vitu Levu before heading to the ferry to take them to their island resort for 5 nights.  They will stay in a pool villa with meals daily.  We’ve included private transfers, ferry tickets, and flights back and forth from Los Angeles, as well as travel insurance for them and their honeymoon is costing $14,000.

Italy:  

Mike and Minia are heading to Italy in late June for 14 nights.  They are flying into Florence and spending 3 nights at a 4 star hotel there.  We’ve included a tour of Florence with skip the line entrance to the Accademia and a cooking class.  They’re taking a train to Siena where they’ll spend 2 nites and take a tour of Chianti and San Gimignano with wine tasting.  From Siena, they’ll take the train to Rome, where they’ll spend 3 nights in a 4 star hotel.  They have a private afternoon tour of Rome with the Colosseum, a small group tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and then they’ll head down to Naples by train.  They’ll be met by a private driver in Naples who will take them on a private tour of Pompeii before driving them to their Positano hotel for 5 nights.  They have a full day private tour of the Amalfi Coast and Ravello as well as a private full day tour to Capri and the Blue Grotto.  They’ll enjoy a private sunset cruise from Positano.  With flights, trains, transfers and excursions, as well as travel insurance, their package came to about $14,500.

Tahiti:

Who doesn’t dream about French Polynesia for their luxury honeymoon?  What can $15,000 get you in the Tahitian islands?

Matt and Ivy are heading to French Polynesia for their August honeymoon.  They were lucky enough to have miles to get them back and forth to Tahiti so we booked the rest for them.  They’ll be spending 5 nites in a duluxe pool bungalow with breakfast daily,at our favorite resort in Moorea.  While in Moorea, they will be doing a dolphin experience, an ATV tour and going to a cultural dinner show.  From Moora, they are flying to Taha’a for 3 nights in an over water bungalow with breakfast daily and 1 dinner.  They’ll be taking a jeep safari excursion and will have a picnic on a private island and have time to do some snorkeling. From Taha’a, they are heading to Bora Bora for 5 nights in a superior over water villa with at a luxury resort with breakfast daily.  They’re going to go to Bloody Mary’s for dinner and take a sunset snorkel cruise.  With Travel Insurance, domestic flights between islands, transfers, their honeymoon came to about $15,800.

Dubai and Bali 

Lauren and Chris are doing a LUXE honeymoon in Dubai and Bali in September.  They were lucky enough to have points for their international flights so we filled in the rest.  They are spending 5 nights in a 5 Star beachfront resort in Dubai with breakfast and dinner daily.  We’ve included 2 excursions into the desert.  After flying to Bali, we are transferring them to a 5 star resort in Ubud for 5 nights where they have a 1 bedroom villa with pool.   They are going white water rafting, taking a sunrise hike up Mt Batur. From Ubud, they are flying to a luxury resort in Moyo island where they’ll spend 4 nights in a luxury ocean tent with meals daily.  Their last stop will take them to another luxury resort in Uluwatu for 4 nights in a premier ocean villa with private pool. With all of the local transportation included, their honeymoon came to about $16,000.
