Recently, My Vacation Lady had 3 situations with potential honeymoon clients that really shows how different we are from some other agencies. We are honeymoon designers. We don’t just slap together an itinerary without knowing your honeymoon dreams.
Adam sent an email to us. He found us on one of the wedding websites. His email came as:
My name is Adam. my fiance and I are starting to look into booking our honeymoon and we would like to look into Hawaii. We would like to go from may 2nd 2018 to May 13th 2018.We look like to do a few different islands. We would like to have flights and hotels and cars between the different locations. At each location we can book an event or activity. We would love to get a sample itininerary from you with some ideas. Can you help us? I look forward to talking with you soon.
I sent out an email response to set up a honeymoon consultation. Adam’s response came back “Is it possible for you to send me a sample itinerary and we can go from there”
Unfortunately, NO. How can I possibly send them an itinerary without knowing anything about them, which islands they wanted to visit, what they wanted to experience and what their budget is. Obviously, Adam didn’t understand the difference between a honeymoon designer and a honeymoon order taker.
Another request came via Wedding Wire. “I’m just pricing around how much honeymoons are.”
There is no 1 size honeymoon that fits all. Our response to Alexis was,
There is no set price for honeymoons since it’s a big world. This may give you an idea of what you can get for your honeymoon budget.
The 3rd was after I had set up a honeymoon consultation with Laura. They told me that they wanted to go to the Maldives. Before the honeymoon consultation, I ask my prospective clients to fill out an online honeymoon get to know you form so that I can gather valuable information about their past travel history and preferences. The form came back with answers like Many Places, when asked where they had traveled to together. When I asked for more info, James, emailed back saying that it was too inconvenient to fill out a form.
