My Vacation Lady helps our clients plan family vacations to destinations near and far.  Some may be to international destinations or cruises while others may be to the theme parks in Orlando.  Family vacations are a special time and we tried taking our kids on family vacations every summer even when we didn’t have a lot of money to spend on vacations.

We found many places to take short vacations to that didn’t have to cost a lot but still created memories for the entire family.  There are still plenty of sites to visit, many within driving distance, that are free to visit.

This week, we’ll talk about a few cities in the North East that you can take your family to for a week or a weekend, that won’t break the bank.

Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

When you think of some of the cities on the East Coast of the US, there are 4 cities, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC that are deep in history and offer lots of free sites to visit.   We are not saying that once you arrive in the city, you won’t spend any money but, there is no admission to walk the Freedom Trail in Boston, or visit Central Park in New York or visit the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC or see the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

What are you favorite things to do in or near your city?

Email My Vacation Lady at info@myvacationlady.com with your favorite FREE things to do, add some pictures and your city may appear in another blog post!

In the meantime, check out some free family friendly things to do in New York City, Boston , Philadelphia and Washington DC
