In the last month or so, the team at My Vacation Lady has been lucky enough to visit 3 cruise ships that were in the NYC area and experience 2 more on 1-2 night travel agent exclusive stays.  One  of our team members came in from West Virginia to visit these ships.

Why do we do this?

What better way is there for us to advise our clients on which cruise ship to sail on than for us to actually see them?  Even on a 1 day ship tour, we get to check out the main public spaces, check out the spa, fitness center, kids clubs, see lots of cabins and experience a lunch in the dining room.

Which ships have we seen?

Our agents have done ship tours of the Norwegian Breakaway, Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas and the Norwegian Escape.  We’ve spent 2 nights on the brand new Norwegian Bliss.  The Bliss is sailing Alaska this summer, sailing from the west coast and Miami in the fall and winter before heading back to Alaska and then it heads back to NYC in November of 2019 to homeport in NY. We spent a full day and overnight on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas which is sailing from Bayonne, NJ this summer and coming back to NJ in the summer of 2019.

When we were on the Norwegian Bliss, we were able to see 2 of their theater productions- IHavana and Jersey Boys.  Frankie Valli- the actual Jersey boy was in the audience and the show was fabulous!  We ate at a number of the restaurants and checked out the new fun attractions like race cars, laser tag, the water slides and so much more  We visited the Haven suites with all the way down to the interior cabins, as well as the single cabins.

On the Adventure of the Seas, we saw the ice show and their production show- Invitation to Dance.  We checked out a number of different dining options, the spa, the kids club and watched some brave people on the Flow Rider (surfing and short boarding) and the Waterslides.

So whether you want to cruise from the New York/ NJ area or elsewhere, you can be sure that the team at My Vacation Lady can recommend the best ship for you.
