My Vacation Lady has seen some spectacular resort spas and if you are spa enthusiasts, we can recommend some wonderful resorts. When we were in St Lucia last, we visited Sugar Beach Resort. Imagine walking through the lush gardens along a wooden path to get to your spa cabin that is in the middle of a rain forest. Of course, it’s appropriately named the Rainforest Spa.
But you don’t need to go LUXE to have access to great spas. When we vacationed in Dreams Tulum in the Riviera Maya a couple of years ago, I was completely WOW’d by their spa.

But there are other fabulous spas in the Caribbean and Mexico that really are worth the trip— including over the water spas, and resorts that include spa treatments as part of their packages.
Not all of the great spas are found at the most exclusive resorts so you don’t need to worry that you can’t afford a property with a wonderful spa. Many of the resorts that we saw 5 or 10 years ago are upgrading their spas to meet the needs of the travelers who want a spa and fitness experience as part of their vacation or honeymoon. We are seeing an increase in girl friend’s spa vacations, as well, and not only for single women. Requests are coming in for girl friend getaways that include married women with families that want to have some friend bonding experiences with great spa treatments.
