Average Honeymoon costs from The KNOT (based on 2019- pre covid pricing)

You can use these statistics if you like but traveling pre-covid is pretty different than travelling in 2022 and if we look back on the Knot’s 2010 stats, the average price of a honeymoon was about $4450.

Let’s look at it this way. I posted this back a few years ago to see how pricing has changed since 2010.
David and Diane paid $4987.50 for their honeymoon in July 2010. They flew from Newark to Maui, spent 7 nites in a stunning resort in Wailea on Polo Beach with a jeep wrangler for 7 nites. They booked it about 6 weeks before they left.
I priced out the same honeymoon for the same dates in July of 2019. In the least expensive room category available for the 7 nights, the price in 2019 was $8000.00 with travel insurance (just as they had for their honeymoon in 2010)
So now- 2022, I priced out the same package for 1 week in July, using new nonstop flights on United from Newark to Maui- same hotel, same room, same car and travel insurance with a cancel for any reason benefit.
