Hurricane season is 2 weeks away. It officially starts on June 1 and here we are in mid May.
Considering that hurricane season starts on June 1 and last through Nov 30, choosing a destination that isn’t effected by hurricanes can really narrow down your choices but My Vacation Lady has come up with a few that usually have good weather, even during hurricane season and might be the spot for YOUR HONEYMOON!
Aruba is out of the hurricane zone and you can typically be guaranteed wonderful weather during the summer and fall.
Bali– If you can get past the long flights getting to Bali, May-October is peak season. With great activities and beaches, Bali is usually a great value.
Barbados– while technically not out of the hurricane zone, Barbados typically is safer from hurricanes than many other Caribbean Islands
Bermuda– their peak travel season is pretty short- only May – Oct. Bermuda is technically not in the Caribbean and typically is less likely to get hit by hurricanes than some of the other islands.
Europe- Greece, Italy, France , Spain, Portugal. These countries are super hot in 2023, more expensive than I’ve ever seen and not a lot of availability
For Europe that won’t have a beachy part included:
Iceland- the summer months are idea for the active honeymooners who want something a bit off the beaten track and full of hiking, canoeing, kayaking and outdoor adventures.
Ireland is full of culture and history but also has some of the most reasonable pricing in Europe in the summer and fall months.
Fiji– worth the trip and great for the exotic YOLO honeymoon.
Hawaii – Summer and fall are great times to go to Hawaii and if you can wait until school is back in session (after Labor Day) you might get some great pricing and specials.
Tahiti (French Polynesia including Bora Bora) – pretty much sold out for the summer and early fall of 2023, but if you’re flexible, we might have some luck finding the honeymoons that dreams are made of.
My Vacation Lady’s honeymoon clients travel all summer long to worldwide destinations. We sent lots and lots of clients to islands in the Caribbean and Mexico, and luckily, very few have been effected by hurricanes. It’s also super important to take travel insurance to protect your honeymoon investment.
Contact Us to schedule your honeymoon consultation and we’ll talk about which destinations might be best for your dream honeymoon. We won’t be the first to tell you that your honeymoon should be special but we are the right honeymoon specialists to make is special.
